This 10 year old whisky from Ardnamurchan is predominantly matured in ex-Bourbon barrels (98%), with a small contribution from Sherry casks (2%) to provide additional depth and richness. The spirit itself is a carefully balanced combination of unpeated (52%) and peated (48%) whisky, marrying the clean sweetness and vanilla notes from Bourbon maturation with gentle Sherry influence and a subtle hint of smoke, creating a complex yet harmonious expression.

    Another cracker from Ardnamurchan

Having tried a few Ardnamurchan releases, this one is the best to date. The bourbon cask finish makes the fruity-think apples, peardrops-and that coastal salty distillet shine. They do a great job with the combination of unpeated and peated casks which really brings it all together. The distillery is an excellent example of quality, affordability and transparency in what you are getting. They keep putting out excellent whisky and this one is up there alongside the 10 special anniversary edition they released.
