The Ardnamurchan Midgie is a playful tribute to one of Scotland’s most notorious natives – the Highland midge.

This year’s release is a carefully composed blend, matured in 50% ex-American bourbon barrels, 48% Port barriques, and 2% sherry casks. The spirit itself is a mix of 75% unpeated and 25% peated whisky, delivering a balanced and characterful dram that captures the essence of Ardnamurchan with a cheeky nod to its tiniest local legend.

The Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 and sits on the shores of Loch Sunart, in what has to be one of the most spectacular locations of any distillery in the country.

The distillery produces two signature styles of spirit, one peated and one unpeated. The spirits are matured in American and European oak, ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon casks.

Ardnamuchan Distillery's parent company, Adelphi Distillery, continues to source the rarest and finest single casks of exceptional malt whisky, under the "Adelphi Selection" brands.
