After gaining experience in hospitality in Glasgow and learning the art of cocktail bartending while travelling through Australia and New Zealand, Sarah returned home and quickly transitioned to the other side of the bar—beginning her sales career in gin. Starting with Pickering’s Gin during the pandemic, she worked across various sectors including independent retail, supermarkets, ecommerce, white label products, and export. This was followed by a move to Cardrona Distillery, marking her first whisky sales role, where she covered both the on-trade and off-trade markets across Scotland. Her career then progressed to her largest portfolio yet: Rémy Cointreau. Working with Bruichladdich, her first foray into Scottish Single Malt Whisky, has been a remarkable journey. Representing an Islay distillery that produces both peated and unpeated whiskies—and one that holds a deep-rooted commitment to raw materials, terroir, and cask exploration—has offered powerful insight into how purposeful and progressive whisky distillation can be.

When not travelling to visit customers, Sarah can usually be found practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or relaxing in a cosy pub with a hawf n hawf.
