This Glen Grant single malt was distilled on Thursday 10th of October 1957 and and matured in a first-fill Sherry butt (cask no. #3483), before being bottled by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail on the 9th of November 2021 at a cask strength of 56.1%.

This exceptional series is a tribute to the legacy of 'Mr George' Urquhart. 'Mr George' was a pioneer in the whisky industry, working in the whisky business from 1933. He created Gordon & MacPhail's iconic Connoissuers Choice range which feature a range of single malt whiskies, showing innovation in a time when most whisky was used to make blends. This second bottling in the series pays tribute to his philosophy, with a long term approach to maturation. A practice which was often though of as eccentric by his peers, Mr George would aim to give his whiskies all the time they need to mature, this was longer than other people in the industry thought to be sensible or possible.
