A rare, traditionally peated expression, matured in the finest Pedro Ximenez, olorosso sherry and port casks. This expression harks back to the time the distillery was founded (1826), when it was common practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting process. The resultant whisky exhibits warm, earthy smoke notes in addition to the fruit-forward flavours you would expect from GlenDronach.
