This is a dram from the cask strength peated expression of the Arran Single Malt perfectly captures the rugged beauty and lore of the landscape.
Bottled at 56.2% was without chill filtration or added colouring showcases the freshness of Arran's island house style, with an added puff of smoke and earthiness.
The Machrie Moor series is named after a peat bog on the west coast of Arran.
Distillery Tasting Notes:
Nose - Citrus notes with a background of peat and a puff of smoke immediately apparent
Palate - A robust dram with the typical orchard fruits of Arran coming to the fore over a layer of toasted brioche and red berries
Finish - Citrus, Smoke, Chocolate, Vanilla, Coconut.
