ABOUT THE DISTILLERY / BOTTLER

Lochlea is an independently owned distillery, originally under the watchful eye of Malcolm Rennie and is now under the management of ex-Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell. The distillery is set up to allow the production of 200,000 litres of alcohol per year.

The distillery is steeped in Scottish history, with Robert Burns calling Lochlea his home from 1777 to 1784, working his days at the farm. Tradition is paramount at Lochlea and the team take full control of the whisky making process including growing their own barely on site.
