The Sherry Cask Release from Ardnamurchan Distillery blends the intricate flavours of 21 Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry butts with the distinctive character of coastal peat smoke spirit.

The Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 and sits on the shores of Loch Sunart, in what has to be one of the most spectacular locations of any distillery in the country.

The distillery produces two signature styles of spirit, one peated and one unpeated. The spirits are matured in American and European oak, ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon casks.

Ardnamuchan Distillery's parent company, Adelphi Distillery, continues to source the rarest and finest single casks of exceptional malt whisky, under the "Adelphi Selection" brands.

    Exceptional

    This is an excellent drop and easily makes my top 5 pours of 2024.

    Mildly peated with sherry sweetness, this whisky represents a balance that is rarely achieved.

    Fully recommended.
