To make Benriach Twelve, Benriach spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt, layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish.

ABOUT THE DISTILLERY / BOTTLER

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker. In 2008, the company expanded their portfolio with the acquisition of the Glendronach distillery.

My Favourite Dram
Since it was released in 2020 the Benriach 12 Triple Cask has been one of my favourite whiskies. Because it is matured in bourbon , sherry and port casks it has a wonderful richness and depth of flavour and being 46 proof gives it an extra oomph.
It is not always easy to source so I was delighted to find it when I was exploring the fantastic range of whiskies and spirits to
choose from at Still Spirit whisky shop.
