Crafted to honour the pioneering spirit of Alexander Reid, the founder of The Macallan, Tales of The Macallan Volume II pays tribute to a legacy that spans two centuries. Distilled in 1949 to meet Alexander’s exacting standards, this exceptionally rare single malt was carefully nurtured to its pinnacle before being bottled in 2022. Released in 2024 to celebrate The Macallan’s 200th anniversary, it stands as a testament to dedication and craftsmanship.

Encased within a bespoke Lalique crystal decanter, the whisky’s presentation is as exquisite as its contents. The decanter is housed within an extraordinary 800-page tome, its pages brought to life with captivating illustrations by renowned artist Andrew Davidson. Each chapter tells the story of Alexander Reid — teacher, farmer, and distiller — on his inspiring journey to mastery.
